ULI Advisory Services Panel on the urban development of the Mainkai in Frankfurt

The Mainkai, an almost three-kilometre-long section on the banks of the Main, is used by around 12,000 vehicles per day (as of 2021). As part of the City of Frankfurt’s overall concept for motorised private transport, this section is to be converted into a car-free zone in order to offer a higher quality of stay, more green spaces, play areas, space for art and culture as well as more space for encounters in the future* (source: City of Frankfurt am Main).

As an organization for sustainable urban development and with a global network of city changers, we will, on behalf of the City of Frankfurt, conduct an Advisory Services Panel to develop a vision of this newly emerging urban space: From June 26 – 30, international experts from the ULI network will come together in Frankfurt to pool knowledge and experience and to obtain the views of stakeholders in expert interviews. Direct, holistic and directly on site – we are very much looking forward to working with the city of Frankfurt and to accompanying the redesign of the Main quay in an advisory capacity!
